MENTAL DOWNTIME

NOTE FROM THE DESIGNER

There’s a myth out there that multitasking is a thing. An even more dangerous myth suggests that multitasking leads to increased productivity. It doesn’t. Actually….it’s the opposite.

With technologies like social media at our disposal, falling into the bad habit of “multitasking” is easier than ever.

I developed “Mental Downtime” to encourage:

1. Less media-multitasking.

2. More mental rest.

It is my sincere hope that the information provided within this course helps learners enhance their productivity by prioritizing real breaks over attempts to multitask. (And I mean real breaks. Not fake social media breaks. Real breaks. The breaks that recharge the mind and bring the body back to homeostasis.)
