NOTE FROM THE DESIGNER

Fun Fact: Did you know I’m a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), a Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS), and WSET Level 3 certified? Having done a significant amount of instructional design work for a wine and spirits company, it only made sense to build that knowledge alongside the work.

This course was designed as a foundational introduction to wine, something approachable that helps get the ball rolling for those looking to deepen their understanding over time.

While I partnered with a talented sommelier to ensure the content was accurate, I led the overall learning design, structuring the experience to be clear, digestible, and easy to build upon.

Visually, the direction was intentionally simple. I drew inspiration from the natural tones of wine and terroir to create a warm, earthy palette, and used a consistent line art style throughout to unify the experience. With no existing brand assets, everything was built using stock imagery and custom styling, designed to feel cohesive and approachable.

The result is a straightforward, thoughtfully designed course that introduces key concepts in a way that feels accessible, not overwhelming.
